KAKATAR CE won the contract bid for the Provision of Engineering Infrastructure to Kyami District Zone C, Abuja in 2014. The contract involves, but not limited to, the construction of over 48km road network; construction of 10 river bridges (several dualised); construction of one 40m-dualised diamond interchange; construction of one 96m-dualised interchange with full cloverleaves; construction of storm water drainages; construction of foul water drainages (including three sewage treatment plants); provision of water supply distribution network; Construction of street lighting and power supply to the district; road network includes Expressways; Arterial Roads; Collector Roads, Important Local Streets, Local Streets, Minor Access Roads; Power supply consisting of 2 injection substations; 72 packet substations; 11 KV Cable of over 6,000 meters).

We immediately mobilised to site and started work. We are on site and have done Site Clearance and Earthworks. Road AR1 from Ch 0+000 to 1+000 completed; Road ILS 8 from Ch 0+000 to 0+800 completed, and other works are in progress – excavation, laying of pipe, backfill and construction of gullies are in progress; while Road works, placing of base course and pavement, Conduits for Post and Telecommunications, Excavation of trench, and laying of ducts, among others.
